These two would out tug it by a little bit. Every thing made by J.D. in the old two banger versions were superior farm tractors to anything else. cheaper to run and more dependable than any of the competition.Bar none! The 4 and six banger competition could develop more horse power, but when it came down to pulling dead weight, the old Johnny,s had the correct balance, gearing and weight transfer to take out the completion.Mud slinging 77 and 88 olivers pulled like crazy but had a tendency to blow engines. The little Allis Chalmers w.d.45 was a little tugger and hard to beat but the tranny,s would give out. It had a very efficient 3 point and was a jewel to plow with carrying 3/14,plows. right up there with the beloved John Deere A. I am 80 yrs now and have seen it all. There are no more real farmers left. Thank GOD there are still some like you who have preserved our heritage.
